Abstract:
The human body stores various forms of information that can be key in the development of the world of science. In fact, currently there is one of biomedical field that develops research based on the characteristic information provided by the iris which is believed to be a reflection of the health condition of the body of a human being, namely Iridology. Combining clinical information from the iris, assistive devices, and evolving image processing approaches will direct results with a high degree of accuracy. In the previous study, after doing survey some iridologists are also looking forward to an approach that is proven to have been heading towards producing accurate data output so that it is an advancement in the medical diagnosis so that the need for direct human diagnostics that may result in errors can be avoided. To achieve the robust method, every step of the method used will determine the results start from Data Collection, Pre-processing, Segmentation, Normalization, Feature Extraction, and Classification. Apart from the uncertain regulatory provisions related to iridology, this paper aims to build analysis and synthesizing related methods used in developing research in this field, especially in terms of image processing in the engineering field. This paper also aims to find out which method is currently reliable enough to approach the suitability of the medical field. However, in line with developments in the field of biomedical engineering, this field has been greatly assisted and is already on the right path by showing a fairly good level of accuracy which of course must be followed by the development of medical equipment because the iris is a unique organ and to get good results requires a strong method of the beginning of data collection (data acquisition) to the end (classification).
