Abstract:

The Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) of any equipment in a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) adherence factory is related to the Availability Rate (AR), Quality Rate (QR) and Performance Rate (PR) of a machine. Increase in OEE increases the productivity and the profit of an industry with the existing available resources. By implementing the Kaizens AR, PR and QR of the machine can be improved and hence the OEE can be increased. In the proposed work, digital kaizen through digitalization technique of Industry 4.0, the QR is increased by monitoring the set value of a process, process signature parameter, actual process value, the standard deviation of the process result and controlling the required parameter using Adaptive Fuzzy Logic Control. Hence the rejection is reduced and increased the QR by 9 % in a green sand mould making high pressure moulding line of a foundry.
