IR-LPR: A Large Scale Iranian License Plate Recognition Dataset

Artificial intelligence is popping up everywhere we look, and there are lots of applications in this field that helps automate tasks and make a huge impact in our life. nowadays license plate detection and recognition are a key part of intelligent transportation systems, with various usage and also are popular and active research topics. despite all improvements in methods and networks, data still plays a crucial role in this field and helps AI systems to learn effectively. Due to the lack of a rich Iranian license plate dataset, we have prepared a complete dataset including 19,937 car images along with all the annotations of the whole license plate and 27,745 license plate characters, which can be useful for various purposes.
