Manufacturing of induction motors with Super Premium Efficiency

In the context of increasing prices within the energy sector, one of the solutions is to reduce electricity consumption. In the EU alone, almost 50% of the produced electricity is consumed by electric motors. Thus, the transition to higher efficiency classes appears as a mandatory step. Nowadays, the induction motor manufacturers need to comply with more rigorous standards, such as IE4. This paper presents the efforts made by S.C. Electroprecizia Electrical Motors SRL Săcele to bring the efficiency of the induction motors in the Super Premium class. Details about the prototyping stages, applied technical solutions and obtained results in case of the 3kW2 pole pairs motor are provided in this paper.
