Modular and Redundant Design of Rudder Controller

Brushless DC motor is widely used in the design of electronic rudder, for shortening the development cycle, enhancing the universality, forming serialization of different high-low configurations and making it easy to transplant the software, this paper proposes a modular design method for rudder controller that is based on brushless DC motor, the hardware modularization and software modularization of which are both talked. Furthermore, redundant design is very important for the long time working of rudder controller, three kinds of different levels redundant ideas based on relay and heartbeat detection are discussed in the article. The modularization method and redundant ideas provide a good reference for the design of rudder controller.
