Abstract:

Distribution network line loss is an important index concerned by electric power enterprises. However, there is a deviation between the actual value and theoretical value of line loss of the distribution networks, due to multiple types of new and legacy power distribution equipment and the complex operating conditions, and there exist uncertainties for power distribution line parameters. To investigate the impacts of parameter uncertainty on line loss and accurately calculate the fluctuation range of line loss, a complex affine model of line loss considering parameter uncertainty of distribution network is proposed in this paper. To address the parameter uncertainty, a complex affine model of power line impedance is first developed with an improved division technique over traditional affine mathematics. Convergence discrimination of overlapping areas in the complex affine wave domain is further developed to propose the line loss calculation based on the complex affine model of line impedance. A case study on the IEEE 33-bus system is performed to verify the proposed method. The results show that the proposed complex affine model considering the uncertainty of line impedance can effectively calculate the line loss in distribution networks.
