Abstract:

Foods products often get fungus during the transportation which degrade biological properties of particular food. T. Matsutake is a fungus that effects the food most such condition will affect the quality of food and their safety which ultimately lead to wastage of foods. Number of food products which are kept in one facility needs unique temperature to be maintained to avoid decay of food to tackle this condition many steps are taken globally such as horticultural ones. Our project is based and developed on real-time monitoring traceability system (RT-MT) by utilizing Internet of Things (IoT) technologies which helps in tracking the environment parameter of cold storage. This paper proposes a system to monitor, which shows the maintenance conditions within the cold chain plants which transmits with IoT. ESP microcontroller which acquire environment parameter such as temperature and humidity via DHT 11 sensor is used and cloud server module which will provide communication data has been utilized. It also includes 3.6 V-2300 mAh battery which will provide a power range of up to 50 hours. The testing and evaluation show that RM-TM will monitor humidity and temperature and carbon dioxide fluctuation in cold chain. Data collection can be used to increase transparency of cold chain and more efficiently control quality. The work intends to design a hardware system in owner’s house or industry that monitor temperature utilization of cold storage, it is developed to calculate the consumption of energy. A server with appropriate channels to monitor each device's energy consumption has been created. The acquired data gets upload on the server at user end. The problems are analysed and solution offered consists of device which collect the data from sensor in RT-MT and transmit the data to cloud server. From the platform, client can visualize the data in real time on dashboard at any place.
