The paper analyses electromagnetic and chemical energy storage systems and its applications for consideration of likely problems in the future for the development in power systems. In addition to this, the limitations for application and challenges of energy storage system are extensively analyzed so to have a better picture about the technology and there may be an effective solution to that in near future and we can have a reliability of power supply and sustainable development of the resources also goes hand in hand.
