Abstract:

Faraday isolators are the essential components of complex laser systems. High-power laser radiation greatly affects the FI characteristics, thereby significantly narrowing the choice of magneto-optical materials. The report provides an overview of promising magneto-optical materials for the manufacture of magneto-optical elements of Faraday isolators operating at the laser radiation ~2µm, results of recent studies of their properties, and some results of the study of the realized Faraday isolators based on such materials.
