Architecting Your Enterprise Blockchain

The chapter covers enterprise blockchain integration, scalability, and security. The structure and the components of the blockchain network will be different and will vary between blockchain solutions. When it comes to architecting solutions for blockchains for an enterprise, it is important to understand how enterprise architectures have been approached. Having a workflow can certainly provide significant instructions to help facilitate the design of a blockchain solution. Blockchain technology has the core characteristics of decentralization, accountability, and security. These characteristics are important to understand when designing a blockchain service. The chapter highlights specifics as to how four blockchain ledgers address the data structure in more detail. They are Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, Ethereum, and Quorum.
