Abstract:

This paper provides a review on induction motor control strategies for domestic and commercial purposes. Presently, induction motors play a pivotal role in improving overall performance and are usually referred to as motor speed motors. In industries, machine loads are driven at the desired speed and hence, the need for induction motor speed control methods is emerging. A review of previous controls and their merits and demerits are discussed here. The research is based on a comparative analysis. The problem of conventional controls result in negative reactions, which are later reduced by using non-conventional techniques. A lot of research is still going on regarding controlling voltage, speed, torque and flux ripples. Much has been accomplished to focus on advanced technology and future issues related to the further exploitation of induction motor drive. These achievements can prevent the problems involved.
