Abstract:

Demand response (DR) is a kind of regulation technique which is of paramount importance for the new power system dominated by a large amount of renewable energy. Considering the response speed and the duration that the flexible resources can last are different and the uncertainty of flexible resources response will decrease as time approaches the response time, a demand response model of multiple types of flexible resources under different stages is established. urthermore, with the goal of maximizing the net income of users who participate demand response, a multi-stage decision demand response strategy of flexible resource is proposed based on the characteristics of flexible resources that have multiple time scales. The case study shows that this strategy could make full use of multiple types of flexible resource with different response speed and different duration to obtain benefits from demand response.
