Abstract:

RFID(Radio Frequency Identification),commonly known as “electronic tag”, is a non-contact automatic identification technology that automatically recognizes target objects and obtains relevant data through radio frequency signals. The identification work does not require human intervention. Compared with traditional tags, it has the characteristics of large data storage, data can be updated at any time and can be read and written. In this paper, a dual-band directional antenna for RFID application is proposed, and two different dipole antennas are designed. Properly adjusting the distance between the two dipoles antenna can obtain better directional radiation performance. The antenna covers the 2.45 and 5.8 GHz ISM frequency bands, and the measured gains in the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz frequency bands are 5.009 and 6.618 dBi respectively. This makes this antenna ideal for small RFID applications.
