Chapter Abstract:

High‐temperature‐resistant polymer composite materials with excellent high‐temperature stability, excellent dielectric properties, and good environmental stability have broad application prospects in the field of electrical engineering. This chapter presents an overview of the recent progress in the basic and application fields of high‐temperature‐resistant polymer dielectric materials at home and abroad and summarizes the development history of high‐temperature‐resistant polymer composites as dielectric materials, the relationship between structure and properties, as well as the application in high temperature and its significance, at the same time, the principles involved are described in detail. Emphasis is placed on the important applications of polymer composites in high‐temperature electrical engineering, including high‐temperature insulation, high‐temperature dielectric energy storage, electronic packaging, absorption and wave transmission, etc. The advantages and shortcomings of polymer composites in the field of high‐temperature electrical engineering applications are deeply considered, and the future development direction and prospect are put forward at the end of this chapter.
