Abstract:
VB Forest is an educational environment equipped with coffee plantations. To collect data, there are manual sensors placed in each coffee plantation. The problem that arises is that farmers collect sensor data manually by visiting the sensors one by one. The Internet of Things (IoT) is designed to make the work of an environment easier. To create an IoT system in the UB Forest, a media transmission that has a wide range of connectivity is needed, one of which is LoRa. To assist farmers in collecting microclimate data in UB Forest, a data logging system is needed that can record sensor data automatically. This research develops a network communication system for multi-point to point microclimate data-logging in UB Forest plantations using the LoRa Wanprotocol. There are 6 Sensor nodes placed in the UB Forest area, with the mechanism of sending data every 5 minutes, until 25 repeat measurements have been made. From the test results, it was found that the system built was able to collect sensor data, then send it to the server with an average success rate of 92.67%, an average delay of 596.47ms, throughput ranging from 6 to 22.4B/s. Based on the TIPHON standard, the success rate of the system built belongs to the good category.
