Status quo and trends of key technologies for integrated energy services

Since the launch of China’s new round of power sector reforms in March 2015, the integrated energy service business is becoming the second largest business of power grid companies besides the power transmission and distribution business. Integrated energy services business involves the production, transmission, use, storage, and management of multiple energy sources such as electricity, heat, cooling, and gas, with a wide variety of related technologies. This paper analyzes the status quo and trend of key technologies for each of the six categories of integrated energy services defined by the State Grid Corporation of China. It not only makes up for the lack of systematic analysis of the key technologies of integrated energy services in the existing literature, but also provides references for relevant enterprises their practicies of integrated energy services.
