Abstract:
Software-defined networking (SDN) t is today a powerful technology that offers programmability and flexibility in the networking domain, by separating the network control plane from the forwarding plane. Many developments are available for SDN controllers, both open-source and commercial. The area of studies and experiments based on different controllers is still open to research. The main objective of this paper is to deploy, analyze and test a router logic implementation with Ryu controller using the Mininet framework and OpenFlow version 1.4 protocol. This study can provide possible assistance to developers working to implement SDN experiments based on Ryu controller. Some aspects of using Python code are addressed, in order to help applications deployment in real networks.
