Abstract:

Biometric predictive have gained a lot of interest in the last decades, such as age estimation, weight estimation, etc. This paper investigates human height estimation based on fingerprint measurements (fingerprint width, fingerprint length, fingerprint area, fingerprint circumference) and fingertip temperature. A linear regression analysis and optimization techniques are performed to find the best coefficients of the non-linear equations used. A piecewise function is proposed to estimate human height based on gender, fingerprint width, and fingerprint circumference. The analysis was performed on a dataset of 200 participants (117 males, 83 females).
