Abstract:
In the process of squeeze casting, the clearance between the shot sleeve and the punch is constantly changing, which results in the friction between the punch and the shot sleeve. The friction has a great influence on the quality of the casting and the service life of the equipment, so this study aims to find out the mechanism of friction. A friction coupling numerical analysis model in squeeze casting was established and verified by the actual experiment. Simulation and experiment results indicated that the friction coupling model is effective, which reflects the actual squeeze casting process more accurately.
