Abstract:

Edge computing has gradually become an important part of the rapid development of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence applications. In this article, the applicability of deploying FPGAs for edge computing is studied from the Reconfigurable, parallel computing power of data and tasks, and real-time pipeline operation. Several FPGA-based Internet of Things (IoT) applications are discussed, where FPGA shows the advantages of low latency, high flexibility, and powerful parallel processing capabilities. Finally, a Conceptual Model for FPGA as an edge device application in Intelligent Transportation Scenarios is proposed and takes full advantage of powerful processing power and flexibility to improve vehicle road travel and vehicle interior system safety.
