Abstract:
A novel driving technology is introduced and adopted to low-temperature poly-crystalline silicon and oxide (LTPO) active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display for flicker improvement at low frequency operation. The proposed LTPO pixel driving scheme can compensate for the hysteresis of the p-type driving TFT (D-TFT). The measurement results show that flicker performance is less than -50 dB ranging from 1 Hz to 10 Hz. With new driving technology, the LTPO AMOLED display can be operated at a low refresh rate without noticeable artifacts such as flicker.
