Abstract:

The polarization temperature, time and voltage have a great influence on the piezoelectricity of PZT-5 piezoelectric ceramics. This paper focuses on the relationship between the polarization conditions and the piezoelectric constant, the dielectric constant through oil bath polarization. In this paper, three factors and five levels of orthogonal experiment were used to study the order of the effects of polarization temperature, time and voltage on piezoelectricity and the optimal scheme. It is concluded from the orthogonal experiment that the polarization temperature has the greatest effect on the piezoelectric performance, then followed by the polarization time and the polarization voltage. Before 160°C, the piezoelectric constant gradually increases with the increase of polarization temperature. The piezoelectric constant gradually decreases that exceeds 160°C. With the extension of polarization time, the piezoelectric constant decreases slowly, and then increases gradually. The piezoelectric constant reaches the best value at 10minutes. The piezoelectric constant changes with the polarization electric field in a W shape and the best value is obtained at 5 kV/mm. Therefore, the best polarization conditions are at a polarization temperature of 160°C, a polarization time of 10 minutes, and a polarization voltage of 5 kV/mm.
