Abstract:
We have proposed a compact multiband mushroom-type electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structure with multilayer configurations. The proposed EBG structure constitutes a large mushroom structure with smaller mushroom structures inside it. The proposed dual-band EBG structure has the dual bandgaps of f0-1.5f0 and 3.2f0-3.6f0. The size of the dual-band EBG unit cell is less than 70% of that of the conventional dual-stacked EBG unit cell.
