Comparison Of Different Designs Of Meander Line Antennas For ISM band applications

This paper presents a comparative study between three different design configurations of microstrip Meander Line Antennas (MLA) for ISM band applications. The configurations are: the classic MLA, the asymmetrical MLA and the log-periodic MLA. A parametric study was carried out by computational simulations in order to obtain the best antenna solution. The antennas were simulated and its behavior compared in terms of return loss and radiation pattern. The first antenna has a triple band operation, while the other ones a dual band operation. The radiation pattern of the three antennas are near-omnidirectional.
