Abstract:

We are in this work proposing a modelling approach to conceptualize and to size a solar power farm assuming the electricity that the irrigation systems needs for their running. The model presented is formed from three principal compartments. The first permits to calculate the real water needed by the vegetable canopy formed from three stories (palm date, fruit trees, market gardening), the second permits to calculate the localized irrigation network and the energy needed to supply the water flux required, the third permits to conceptualize and to size the solar unit providing that energy. Results from a case study for Nefzawa oasis (Jemna and Rejim Maatoug) are discussed.
