Abstract:

In the paper, a partial discharge system for effective off-line and on-line diagnosis of stator winding insulation is presented. The examples of the measurements are related to a new installation as well as to machines being in operation for a long time. Special attention is paid to the challenges in the evaluation of the measuring data. The application of an automated system for partial discharge defect pattern classification is also described in the paper.
