Abstract:

Damage to all Model Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) terminal connectors used in the adjustable speed drive (ASD) circuit due to the sparking of the cross-voltage between the two phases damage the MCCB in the circuit, all of them must be changed. The important cause of sparking is that the voltage increases so quickly. There is a very high possibility that harmonic resonance cause very high voltages. This paper represent the investigation and the causes of failure by harmonics resonance. Fault detection and diagnosis of power system harmonic are extremely necessary for improving power system reliability. Finally, the inspection and maintenance process are proposed to use data mining techniques to make decisions on prevention and maintenance.
