Abstract:

The need for thermal treatment in various industries has prompted research and development of powerful, non-polluting, inexpensive low-temperature plasma source. Microwave induced plasma is another method of producing electrodeless torches. Our study concerns the energy transferred from the plasma created by the at atmospheric pressure. The axial torch allows the coupling of microwave energy (2.45 GHz) with a gas injected axially at. Our study involves both experiment and modelling. The possibility of ozone generation is shown. A thermodynamic study of the plasma-chemical processes occurring in the microwave burner was carried out, which made it possible to determine the feasibility of the formation of certain quantities of chemical compounds under the given conditions. Thermodynamic analysis uses the universal TERRA program.
