An Inexpensive but Smart MAC-Address Based Attendance Monitoring System

Attendance monitoring systems are frequently used in workplaces and Academic organizations where they can incur a considerable expense for the installation, maintenance, and networking of the systems. Almost all individuals nowadays carry a smartphone that has access to the Internet. These phones have the capability to be used as an attendance tracking device with an appropriate monitoring system. Such a system can be developed using inexpensive networking components but with smarter processing for the identification of loophole exploitation and misuse. This research will focus on the development of a smart and affordable monitoring system with minimal device prerequisites that offers high efficiency and reliability in combination with low energy consumption.
