Abstract:
In multiple pulse repetition frequencies (PRFs) radars, the PRF set is used to resolve the ambiguities in both range and Doppler frequency. In this paper, a novel PRF selection scheme is proposed. The optimization is driven by the requirement to maximize the decodable velocity space for low PRF applications. Considering the influence of the measurement errors on the velocity decodability, the velocity skyline diagram which is termed the decodability margin is concerned during the optimization process by the genetic algorithm (GA). Simulation experiments are presented to validate the effectiveness and reliability of the proposed algorithm in finding a optimal PRF set.
