Abstract:
We demonstrate, for the first time, the feasibility of spatial channel networking including spatial bypassing, spectral grooming, spatial-lane change, and spatial-channel protection over a spatial channel network testbed that comprises two types of low-loss space/wavelength-hierarchical optical cross-connect prototypes connected with four-core fibers.
