Abstract:
This paper proposes a nonlinear sensorless control of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) in wind energy conversion system. The target is to ensure the optimization of wind energy captured without measurement of rotor speed. The feedback controller deals with the full order model of DFIG without considering any simplifying assumption. It guarantees an efficient tracking of both rotor speed and stator flux. The estimation of rotor speed involved in the control laws is provided by an observer. The system stability is proven using Lyapunov's stability theory. Simulation results of the proposed sensorless controller have been carried out in Matlab/Simulink. It verifies the validity and good tracking performances of the proposed controller.
