Abstract:

A denial-of-service cyberattack detection and resilient framework for the synchrophasor-based wide area monitoring system (WAMS) is presented. By reducing the adverse impact of data unavailability on critical WAMS applications, the presented framework avoids maloperation of the protective device which, in turn, improves network stability.
