Abstract:

Wireless power transfer (WPT) technology has aroused wide pubic concern in many different fields. Meanwhile, this technology has been also attempted on electrical vehicle (EV) to enable wireless charging all the time. However, the magnetoquasistatic fields are inevitably generated and can be harmful to human health. In this paper, the novel method for magnetic field shielding using the mesh aluminum sheet is proposed to suppress the electromagnetic field (EMF) noise. The equivalent circuit mode of the sheet is put forward to explain the shielding mechanism. Simulation by the FEM software is adopt to verify the theoretical analysis qualitatively. The shield method works by canceling the magnetic field intensity without causing the massive loss to the system. The optimal design of mesh aluminum which consider the sheet size, the distance from the coils and the fabric of sheet is also analyzed accordingly. This results can provide the new method to cancel EMF noise in the WPT system.
