Abstract:

Rather than small coverage of direct-transmission and single relay, difficult deployment of MIMO on small terminals, in this paper, it implements a scheme to build a wireless multi-relay transmission system for image transmission based on GNU Radio and USRP platform. Meanwhile, Cooperative relays are used to replace multi-hop networks to enable resource and power sharing. Decoding and forwarding (DF) scheme and optimal relay selection algorithm is proposed. Experimental results show that mutli-relay system has the advantages of large coverage, low bit error rate, increased diversity gain and low cost, while comparing with single relay and direct transmission.
