Abstract:

Peru has had an annual growth in the electricity sector, being of the greatest consideration and importance, but in turn, it entails certain problems of electrical connectivity such as interruptions. In recent years there has been an average annual interruption time of 9 hours and 24 minutes; affecting economic and social aspects, which establishes a major problem in seeking to reduce losses in electricity supply. In this research work, a temperature detection system in electrical substations has been designed and implemented through the use of a microcontroller and temperature sensors, which automatically guarantee overload detection, as this is the main cause of the electrical connectivity interruptions, which is based on the detection of temperatures at certain points in substations, which will be used to compare the real values and generate alerts to the entities that regulate and give the respective maintenance. As a result of the observation and analysis of these electrical substations, the following temperatures were obtained at 28° C, 56° C and 75° C, to be used in the comparison and to define a state; the latter being the overheat alert value to prevent future interruption.
