Abstract:

This paper presents a Radio frequency (RF) tunable-active bandpass filter realized using a voltage differencing trans conductance amplifier for application into high data rate systems. The filter is designed to have high voltage gain at high frequency and high bandwidth with proper tenability. The design is implemented using 45nm CMOS technology with 0.95V supply voltage. The achieved centre frequency tuning is from 2.57 GHz to 4.01 GHz, operating from 45 MHz to 160 MHz 3-dB bandwidth. The DC power consumption has been reduced to 282μW. It exhibits a 1-dB compression point of -1.34dBm to -1.35dBm, a third order intercept point of-2.41 to -4.43, harmonic distortion of -49.75dB to -49.74dB and a noise figure of 34dB to 37dB.
