Abstract:

VANET is a sub-area of MANET that has the potential to improve road safety and providing comfort to the travelers. Vehicles use wireless communication that have data sharing facilities are termed as Computers networks on wheels. Vehicles can acquire information either from Roadside base station or rely upon other vehicles for information. In this paper, various routing protocols are discussed that using different approaches for node selection in VANET. This paper proposed a hybrid approach of two protocols that may reduce packet delay and packet loss rate than existing approach.
