Abstract:

This paper discusses a slant ±45° dual polarized omnidirectional antenna to operate as omni cell antenna covering the IMT frequency band from 1920 MHz to 2170 MHz. The antenna is used to cover low reception areas between sector antennas with directivity in horizontal plane. Good antenna performances are achieved where measurement results agree well with simulation results, with the gain of more than 4 dBi and a gain difference of less than 1.5 dB.
