Abstract:

In order to realize obstacle intrusion detection on railway track, this paper proposes a detection scheme based on channel state information (CSI) that is exposed by commodity Wi-Fi AP. In this paper, the characteristics of multi-path propagation of wireless signals under obstacles are innovatively utilized. By collecting and processing CSI of wifi signals, the MUSIC algorithm is able to calculate the number of propagation paths of wifi signals with smoothed CSI, then it is easier to determine whether the wifi signal encounters obstacles in the process of propagation. In this way, obstacle intrusion detection of railway track can be realized. Simulation results verify the effectiveness and accuracy of this method. This is the first time to analyze CSI of wireless signals in railway operating environment and realize obstacle intrusion detection, which is also a research direction to be developed and has great research value.
