Abstract:
Traditional edge detection algorithms affect the performance of the edge detection results based on the setting of the threshold value. Setting the threshold value too high may cause a loss of edge texture with a smaller gradient value. Setting the threshold value too low may cause excessive noise retention. To effectively overcome the problems caused by an inappropriate threshold setting, this paper summarizes and classifies a series of textural changes by observing the changes in the edge texture, and uses block mode to assemble the edges of the construction objects. Experimental results show that, compared with a traditional edge detection method, the proposed method not only excludes the possible problems caused by the threshold setting, it can also detect more abundant edge information.
