Abstract:
Aiming at the problem of reflective C-scan imaging lateral resolution, this paper proposes to use the right-angle crack reflection method to measure the lateral resolution of ultrasonic transducers. According to the theoretical sound field distribution at the focal plane of the ultrasonic transducer, the corresponding line response function and the right-angle crack reflection edge response function are simulated, and the -6dB intensity threshold is used to discriminate the ultrasonic C-scan lateral resolution in the amplitude curve. The simulation results are verified by C-scan experiments using three ultrasonic focusing transducers with different frequency. The simulation and experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively measure the C-scan lateral resolution of ultrasonic transducers.
