Abstract:

the SubSea Propulsion company describes their latest product summary with a full range of subsea propulsion and thruster systems, designed for manned submersibles, ROVs, AUVs and other applications. SubSea Propulsion produces a full range of high quality, cost effective, efficient, and compact thrusters designed for professional subsea use. Their designs are based upon 30 years of experience in the offshore marine industry. Their portfolio is divided into five main products: ROV thrusters, electric (AC/DC) and hydraulic, pumpjet propulsion, AUV propulsors and fin actuators, the TMS dual pumpjet positioning system plus the propulsion modular platform (electric and hydraulic) with supporting hardware and control software. Electric thrusters utilize AC line voltage and incorporate a rugged, avalanche-rated 3-phase bridge rectifier/converter provided to rectify the 1-phase or 3-phase AC line and provide a DC bus to the inverter section designed inside the thruster body.
