Abstract:

Today requirement to use cell phone is increasing tremendously. Cell phone is acting as transceiver of electromagnetic signals for its operation. Electromagnetic signals produce thermal effects in human body. In order to minimize the thermal effect of radiations on the body a threshold value of specific absorption rate is defined by regulatory bodies. In this work a mathematical modeling of calculating the specific absorption rate of the cell and change in the temperature of human tissue due to electromagnetic waves is presented. This modeling is used to calculate the specific absorption rate and temperature change in human tissue for GSM-900 system.
