Abstract:

Fibonacci word fractal antenna with Koch snowflake Defected ground structure is proposed in this report for Fixed Satellite and Aeronautical Radio Navigation Services, which is designed on FR-4 substrate using HFSS. Proposed fractal antenna is very small in size in comparison to many conventional antennas and with the implementation of third iteration of fractal geometry, the size is reduced by 85% in terms of resonating frequency, which makes it cost effective. Proposed fractal antenna provides a multiband performance with resonance at 4.03 GHz, 5.2456GHz, 6.7895GHz, 7.3409GHz, 9.1604GHz, and 10.2356GHz and it is characterized on the basis of various performance parameters like reflection coefficient, radiation pattern, gain and bandwidth.
