Abstract:
With the evolution of smart grids, the need for reliable supply of electricity is an important issue. Among the different power quality issues concerning the consumers at distribution level, voltage swells and sags are critical power quality issues in distribution system. With the increase in complexity of electronics equipment in commercial appliances, customer have become more and more vulnerable to voltage disturbances. For compensating these voltage disturbances multiple approaches have been developed. The secondary side of the distribution transformer in this paper is connected by a predictive voltage controlled TDVR for compensating voltage swell and voltage sag. The MATLAB/Simulink model is used to analyze the proposed system.
