Abstract:

There are many factors influence to the manufacturing process that include hardening of the surface of parts, adhesive effects, temperature variations and vibration, etc. Understand these factors that improve the efficiency of manufacturing processes, quality products and saving energy. In this study, vibrations of cutting tools and the influence of progressing tool wear during the ball end milling process are investigated. A numerical method is developed to evaluate the relation between the amplitude of vibration and tool wear width on the flank face. The results agree that the vibrations of the cutting in the manufacturing process have the important effect to the tool wear.
