Abstract:

Technological Progress in communication infrastructure between different participants of power market has developed the ability of system operator to develop reliability parameters. AMI smart meters makes possible to have online data communication between consumers and the grid. So, Demand Response (DR) programs are used to develop system reliability and efficiency. One of the intensive-based DR programs is Capacity Market Program (CMP) which encourages large consumers to change the pattern of energy consumption on peak days to increase the reliability and stability of the network by reducing the peak consumption. In this paper, the impact of the Capacity Market Programs on SAIDI parameter in an urban feeder in Mashhad Electric Energy Distribution Company (MEEDC) is studied using data mining methods. Results illustrate the effectiveness of CMP in MEEDC, which improved the reliability parameters like SAIDI.
