Abstract:
In this thesis, DEFORM software was used to simulate the processing technology, force and service conditions, and combined with the actual wheel failure statistics, the influence of spoke forming technology and service condition on the failure was comprehensively analyzed. The results showed that in production process of the spoke with stamping process or spinning process, there is a stress gradient between the bolt hole distribution circle and the ventilation hole transition zone. However, the stress gradient is smaller for the spinning process. Under normal service conditions, the bolthole is a sensitive site of formation and expansion for the fatigue crack. While in case of overload, the stress is concentrated outside the bolt circle. In order to improve the service life of the spokes, it is recommended to use the spinning process to prepare the spokes, improve the machining and assembly accuracy, and strictly limit the overload behavior.
