Abstract:
Modern equipment such as surveillance/night vision cameras, land and marine microwave receivers, visible and infrared sensors mounted on mobile platforms, require stabilized platforms to achieve maximum of performance. On these systems action various types of unwanted vibrations and movements that affect the quality of the information acquisition, leading to disruption of communications, blurred images and many other effects that decrease the performance of the system and have strong negative impact on its functions. The system under the authors' research was developed to be implemented on a mobile platform, compensating the effects mentioned above with a closed-loop control based on special algorithms (which will constitute a patent proposal) that actively cancel these displacements and increase the performance of the platform to a better level than existing systems. The paper presents the principles of algorithms, the BLDC (Brushless DC) motor driver based on Hall encoders and the results obtained in comparison with other systems.
